Status: Negative Declaration. Project Description: Combined Development Permit including: 1)
Coastal Development Permit and Design Approval for an amendment to a previously
approved project (File Nos. PLN010558 and PLN090054) to allow the construction
of a 3,164 square foot two‑story single family dwelling consisting of a
two‑story "geodesic dome" containing the main living areas; and
a one‑story, approximately 780 square‑foot "wing"
attached on the north side of the dome containing a bathroom, laundry room,
hallway area and a two‑car covered garage with a green roof; 2) Coastal
Development Permit for development on slopes greater than 30%. The project
would substitute a previously approved, 4,343 square foot two‑story, traditional
single family dwelling. The project
includes approximately 32 cubic yards of grading. The property is located at 36584 Highway 1,

2013. Ordinance amending Title 20
(Monterey County Coastal Implementation Plan, Part 1, Zoning Ordinance) in
order to incorporate Cottage Food Operation provisions to conform to changes in
State law (AB 1616, The California Homemade Food Act). Recommended Action: Recommend
that the Board of Supervisors adopt the ordinance.
