            Project Planner:  Fernando Vargas.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  CONTINUED FROM FEBRUARY 27, 2014.  Design Approval to allow the demolition of an existing 1,476 square foot one-story single family dwelling and the rebuild of a 3,456 square foot two-story single family dwelling that includes a 126 square foot connection to the existing 426 square foot garage, a 294 square foot first floor addition to the existing footprint, a 1,139 square foot second floor addition, a 22 square foot porch and a 170 square foot wood deck at the second floor. The materials and colors consist of: stucco (Woodbridge Trail); gutters and trim (Sunday Drive); cast stone window trim (light beige); clad windows (sierra pacific -bronze); and roof (eagle concrete tiles).  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

2.         1:40 PM - Lee Betty R TR - PLN130545

            Project Planner:  Ashley Nakamura.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Combined Development Permit consisting of:  1) Coastal Administrative Permit to allow for the placement of a 1,760 square foot manufactured home, and the construction of a wastewater disposal system, a 120 foot long by 15 foot wide driveway, and drainage improvements; and 2) a Coastal Development Permit to allow development within 100 feet of environmentally sensitive habitat.  The property is located at 21 Paradise Road, Castroville (Assessor's Parcel Number 131‑131‑009‑000), North County Land Use Plan, Coastal Zone.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

3.         1:50 PM - Slama L Keith/Jannette - PLN130236

            Project Planner:  Luis Osorio.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Combined Development Permit consisting of: 1) a Lot Line Adjustment between two legal lots of record consisting of 1.08 acres (Lot 159, Assessor's Parcel Number 173‑075‑016‑000) and 1.10 acres (Lot 160, Assessor's Parcel Number 173‑075‑017‑000), resulting in two parcels of 1.18 acres and 1.00 acre respectively; 2) an Administrative Permit to allow the construction of a new 6,234 square foot one‑story single family dwelling, 480 square feet of patios, a 650 square foot at grade deck and a 1,361 attached three‑car garage; 3) a Use Permit to allow the removal of 6 Oak trees (8 inches, 11 inches, 12 inches, 12 inches and 15 inches in diameter to be removed, one 22‑inch Oak tree to be replanted on site); and grading (approximately 1,170 cubic yards (720 cubic yards cut and 450 cubic yards fill).  The property is located at 503 Via Del Castillo, Monterey (Assessor's Parcel Number 173‑075‑016‑000), Greater Monterey Peninsula Area Plan.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

The Recommended Action indicates the staff recommendation at the time the agenda was prepared.  That recommendation does not limit the Zoning Administrator’s alternative actions on any matter before it.
