of: 1) a Coastal Development Permit to allow development within the Big Sur
Critical Viewshed for the installation of a drop inlet, asphalt concrete dike,
36 inch reinforced concrete pipe culvert, 30 inch diameter by 60 linear foot
downdrain, and a 108 square foot gabion basket dissipater approximately 60 feet
below the road shoulder on the west side of Highway 1; 2) a Coastal Development
Permit to allow development on slope exceeding 30 percent; and grading
(approximately 355 cubic yards of fill in a 3,400 square foot area adjacent to
and west of Highway 1). The project site

the Carmel River Floodplain, the removal of four non‑protected trees, and
Design Approval. Grading to consist of
