1.         1:30PM - State Of California Dept of Transportation (Caltrans) - PLN120490

            Project Planner:  Joe Sidor.  Environmental Status:  Exempt.  Project Description:  Combined Development Permit consisting of: 1) a Coastal Development Permit to allow development within the Big Sur Critical Viewshed for the installation of a drop inlet, asphalt concrete dike, 36 inch reinforced concrete pipe culvert, 30 inch diameter by 60 linear foot downdrain, and a 108 square foot gabion basket dissipater approximately 60 feet below the road shoulder on the west side of Highway 1; 2) a Coastal Development Permit to allow development on slope exceeding 30 percent; and grading (approximately 355 cubic yards of fill in a 3,400 square foot area adjacent to and west of Highway 1).  The project site is located within the Caltrans right‑of‑way at post‑mile 34.1, approximately 0.17 miles south of Burns Creek Bridge, Big Sur (Assessor's Parcel Number 000‑000‑000‑000, adjacent to Assessor's Parcel Numbers 421‑011‑016‑000 and 421‑011‑018‑000), Coastal Zone.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

2.         1:30PM - Assemi Cheryl - PLN120299

            Project Planner:  Steve Mason.  Environmental Status:  Exempt.  Project Description:  Use Permit to allow the demolition of an existing 1,831 square foot single family dwelling and 611 square foot attached carport and the construction of a one‑story 3,298 square foot single family dwelling including a 642 square foot attached three‑car garage in the Carmel River Floodplain, the removal of four non‑protected trees, and Design Approval.  Grading to consist of approximately 857 cubic yards cut and 972 cubic yards of fill.  The property is located at 26595 Canada Way, Carmel (Assessor's Parcel Number 015‑192‑004‑000), Carmel Valley Master Plan.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

The Recommended Action indicates the staff recommendation at the time the agenda was prepared.  That recommendation does not limit the Zoning Administrator’s alternative actions on any matter before it.
