            Project Planner:  Liz Gonzales.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Combined Development Permit to allow: 1) a Coastal Administrative Permit for a 2,195.5 square foot two‑story addition, 569.5 square foot deck, 1,104 square foot courtyard/terrace and retaining walls (192 linear feet) to an existing 4,160.5 two‑story single family dwelling; 2) a Coastal Development Permit to allow the removal of six Monterey Pine trees (13", 2‑9", 6" and 2‑5" in diameter) and two Oak trees (6" & 5" in diameter); 3) Design Approval and 4) grading (555 cubic yards of cut).  The property is located at 1584 Griffin Road, Pebble Beach (Assessor's Parcel Number 008‑171‑039‑000), Del Monte Forest Land Use Plan, Coastal Zone.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

2.         1:40 PM - Parola Randall J - PLN130834

            Project Planner:  Daniel Lister.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Administrative Permit and Design Approval to allow the construction of a 4,000 square foot one‑story single family dwelling located within a Visual Sensitivity ('VS') Overlay District. The project includes a 1,357 square foot attached three‑car garage, 164 square foot covered entry porch, 3,476 square foot barn with a 256 square foot covered porch, and approximately 1,577 cubic yards of associated grading (371 cubic yards cut and 1,206 cubic yards fill).  The property is located at 321 Corral de Tierra Road, Salinas (Assessor's Parcel Number 151‑031‑008‑000), Toro Area Plan.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

3.         1:50 PM - Doyle Debra M TR - PLN130380

            Project Planner:  Steve Mason.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Combined Development Permit consisting of:  1) a Coastal Administrative Permit and Design Approval to allow the construction of a 10,021 square‑foot, three‑story single‑family dwelling, an 856 square foot attached garage, a 441 square foot gazebo, 7,108 square feet of non‑structural impervious surface area (driveway and motorcourt, courtyard, walkways, pathways, landings and terraces), 447 linear feet of garden walls, and a 50,000 gallon underground water storage tank; 2) a Coastal Development Permit to allow development within 750 feet of known archaeological resources; and 3) grading of approximately 1,840 cubic yards of cut and 391 cubic yards of fill.    The property is located at 1127 Porque Lane, Pebble Beach (Assessor's Parcel Number 008‑281‑021‑000), Del Monte Forest Land Use Plan, Coastal Zone.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

 

4.         2:00 PM - Broome John S TRS ET AL - PLN120618

            Project Planner:  Luis Osorio.  Environmental Status:  Categorical Exemption.  Project Description:  Use Permit for development of a new 188,000 gallon water tank for the Chualar Water System (Public Water System No. 2701202). The project would be located on a portion of Assessor's Parcel Number 145‑151‑001‑000 (Parcel "E" of the Rancho Chualar Subdivision) and a portion of Assessor's Parcel Number 145‑151‑002‑000 (Parcel "F" of the Rancho Chualar Subdivision), located fronting on Lincoln Street near South Street, Town of Chualar, Central Salinas Valley Area Plan.  Recommended Action:  Approve Project

The Recommended Action indicates the staff recommendation at the time the agenda was prepared.  That recommendation does not limit the Zoning Administrator’s alternative actions on any matter before it.
